Stewart and the rest of the Healdsburg Social, Social Vine Crew had the pleasure of meeting Francis Ford Coppola at a soft opening of his new restaurant Werowocomoco. The restaurant is located at the lovely Virginia Dare Winery just north of Healdsburg in Geyserville and will be open to he public this weekend on November 5th 2016. They are serving Native American style cuisine with a twist from the mythological story of Virginia Dare, a beautiful blond who was the first English girl born in America. Francis told us her story along with how she had stood out to him as a young boy when he heard the jingle from the old Virginia Dare Winery. He also spoke about the food and the research he did to stay true to the Native American culture. Buffalo burgers, salmon, ribs, flat bread tacos, corn on the cob, are just a few examples of the delicious menu. We definitely recommend dining and drinking the delightful wines at Virginia Dare. It was an experience we will never forget.
